Runs on CloudLinux which is beautiful for getting things done. All relevant versions of PHP, WHM/cPanel, with SSH on dedicated servers. Also sells Anycast DNS for distributed DNS services. Also has WordPress plans, and shared hosting. Has cloud servers.
Canadian Web Hosting.com They used to use deceptive tricks saying unlimited domains and the way it was worded assumed many accounts, now after many years have listed “Add-On Domains” which is the industry normal now. Based in British Columbia. They say they have 2 data centres ay 151 Front Street Toronto and 555 West Hastings Street, which are two famous data centres in Canada. MAYBE they are better, but the initial advertising years ago brings up questions.
HostPapa A Canadian company, direct competitor to WHC and CWH. Pricing is slightly upmarket, but I think if you can catch a service on a deal, it could be worth it. Not entirely sure if it is indeed hosting in Canada.
American Companies
RamNode cPanel Shared Hosting American, US and EU data centres, has two plans, Shared with 15GB/5USD per month, or Reseller with 100GB/9+USD per month. Usual CloudLinux setup. Has been around for some time now. Also hosts Virtual Machines.

BlueHost for being the official webhost for WordPress for some time, you may think the quality would be good. The quality of marketing is good. In my experience the pings were not good, and this may have impacted SEO efforts. Had an odd cobbled together control panel experience, and chat support was useless. Pricing at the time was not the worst, but not the best. Middle-range everything kind of experience.
Digital Ocean also known as “DO” offers web hosting, VMs, storage, AI/ML, and more. When I signed up for GitHub Student Pack, DO came as an offer. I tried to signup with DO using the code, and DO said the code had already been used. I didn’t like the correspondence and unwillingness to see the screenshots I provided, or to remedy the problem whatsoever. Essentially they said it had been used by someone and no free tier for you. Ok then, I have never used DO, nor will I. If they can’t have a simple promo code working through a legitimate source, then fine, when something big goes wrong, “tough it’s on you” attitude won’t cut it. I’ll shop elsewhere.
Vultr.com I assume a play on the word Vulture, very good offerings, and a direct competitor to Digital Ocean. Essentially most of Digital Ocean’s services with added NVidia GPUs for AI/ML. This is a very premium service on truly expensive hardware. Nice touch. Pricing is super easy to understand and has hourly pricing, as is the standard for these services
OVH is a huge company with tons of infrastructure, open pricing with no hidden fees, and a new data centre in Cambridge, Ontario which they are calling “Toronto Region” which is incorrect, but the company HQ is in France, so they don’t know the Greater Toronto Region is. However, electronically, it’s fine, a good idea and is likely tied quite closely to 151 Front Street data centre and TORiX internet exchange. Services and support from OVH are excellent. High uptimes can be expected, and you get exactly what you pay for. Have some good special offers sometimes too.

LowEndStock.com Not sure why but the grid isn’t showing up. Usually has a grid of CHEAP VPS deals. Also has a deals page.
LowEndSpirit Forum format website about offers and discussions about various companies. Mostly Virtual Private Servers, but some web stuff comes along. Also has Wiki Discord YABS (“Yet Another Benchmark”) and huge Provider List.
LowEndBox has a better listing service than LowEndSpirit, and allows filtering by country or service.
WebHostingTalk has a large forum, covers everything from web to cloud to specialty markets like VoIP and game servers. Has an Industry Announcements section as well. Very popular.
vpsBoard Talk about VPSs of course but also web hosting, probably about 100k messages total, seems good!
VPSBenchmarks rates a lot of the popular VPS hosting services, including RackNerd, DigitalOcean, all of the major cloud providers, Linode, and more. Seems good!
